Surya Babu, who has won a gold medal in the Kerala state junior championship in Cochin is elated at his success. Surya Babu, 15, said it was a major achievement for him to bag a medal in the state championship. Since 2016, he has been practicing Kurash in Don Bosco Boys Home under the supervision of Coach Mr. Rajan Varghese. Initially he started playing Kurash and today has excelled in it. Surya plays in 50 Kg weight category.

Surya Babu also participated in the National Championship, which was held in Haryana in 2019, but he did not manage to win a medal. Now Surya is spending his time in practicing Kurash to win a National medal.
